Waiting...

Well, the weekend was loads of fun! I went home to Dallas, and got to see the Mavs beat The Heat Saturday night from the suite my dad's office owns.

Listed a couple of new pics yesterday on Etsy, and also applied to be a seller on istock. Someone in Etsy chat recommended it to me since the photography business is super tough on Etsy. (how's about no sales yet? haha) I completed the application, so I've got my fingers crossed that it will work out. A little side income would be nice. :)

I also had my job interview yesterday for the Graphic Design position at the rec. I loved the job details my interviewers gave me, and I believe that I'm perfectly qualified to get the position! (Plus it sounds like fun!) AND I could hold it through the summer! My only problem would be finding a place to live for a couple of months, but I'm sure I could sublease an apartment or dig something else up if it works out. We'll see!
Oh...and it's cold and rainy today. Really cold. Really rainy. Apparently we have a chance of snow tonight....*tear* it was in the 70s Sunday..... :/

Oh....Thursday...

First math test today! I felt like I knew how to work just about everything, so that's a good sign....

The weather was so nice! I went for a bike ride and had to use my inhaler, but it was so worth it. It's a little sad that I was excited about mid 60's, and I live in Texas where it's hotter than hell in summer. I love the heat though. no lie.

Going home tomorrow after my first poli sci test and choir, WHOOP!

And it only cost me $380...

Went back to the doctor today. He gave me more advair, a stronger antibiotic for my second sinus infection, and a rescue inhaler like people who have asthma use. I honestly feel so blessed to not have asthma. Just dealing with this wheezing thing for a month now has been such a pain. I have no idea what it must be like to need to keep an inhaler around all the time or be prepared for a sudden asthma attack, but I'm thankful that it normally isn't a problem for me. I'm very hopeful that this third doctor visit will get everything fixed, it's depressing to cough incessantly every time I workout, walk in the wind, or try to take a deep breath to sing. Plus I sound weird with a stuffy nose.

First math test tomorrow, YIKES! But, I got a call from the rec about a job I applied for two months ago, and they want to interview me! WHOOP! I'm gonna BTHO MY INTERVIEW ON MONDAY!!! Yeah bein' the Graphic Design Assistant!

Thanks, and gig 'em.

ouch.

Okay, this is definitely a sinus infection again. Doctor tomorrow, visit number 3 since all this junk started a month ago! Thank goodness too, because the left side of my face under my eye is really sore. mucho sore. for real. Plus my snot is...well...green. Sorry not to spare any details, but I'm the one dealing with it...

There's a housing fair tomorrow. I don't know anyone living on campus next year, and since my parents have forbidden me from moving off campus (which I'm really pissed about)....I guess I'm not going. No point in scoping out awesome apartments for no reason! GRR.

Math is going to run me into the ground if whatever infection I have doesn't first. Whoopee.....

night.

Today was supposed to be good, then I realized it was a Monday

Title says it all.

First test of the semester was today, and in theater 101. haha...probably should have spent more time studying, but, oh well. Today wasn't bad, but wasn't marvelous either. It was just a Monday.

Scheduled a doctors appointment for Wednesday, which will be the third in a month because I still haven't stopped coughing/wheezing/incessantly blowing my nose. Maybe third time's a charm. We shall see.

Posted two new pictures in my Etsy shop, so that's fun. Check them out? www.etsy.com/shop/MercyPhotography

Over and out. (oh yes, I said it.)

I detest this holiday

Well....the title says it all. I'm not a huge fan of Valentines Day. I mean, why in hell should people need an excuse (like oh..say...a holiday?) to tell someone they love them? Arg. Call me a single, bitter, girl. That's fine by me, but it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

Funny story:
So yesterday at the rec, I was trying to unlock my bike from the rack, and broke the cheap ass key off in the lock. I had to go buy two pairs of pliers (first was too large, so I had to go out again), WD-40, and 3 in 1 to pull the stupid key out of the lock AND fix the lock so it would open/close easier. This morning I got it fixed, and then made the 20 minute walk from my dorm back to the bike to unlock it with my spare key and ride it back. The whole process probably cost me $40 without the cost of gas factored in....I feel like such a college student complaining about spending $40, haha.

Back to my previous rantings about Valentines Day...you might be wondering why I'm such a hypocrite for all this lovey-dovey stuff. Well, lets just say my life has been one boy mistake after another. The most recent one occurred last week. STORY TIME! (again!)

Met this nice guy at the first Fish Camp lunch of this semester. Didn't talk much with him, but he was sitting on my end of the table, and seemed to be a nice guy. That Sunday, I was waiting for my friend to pick me up for church in the morning, and he and his friends were all standing together. I didn't see him, I have a tendency to completely zone out when I'm by myself like that...so nothing surprising. He left the guys, walked over to me, said 'Hi Anna', and we proceeded to make light conversation till his ride showed up. A couple of weeks later, I friended him on facebook. I mean, that's normal now, right? Meet someone, friend them on facebook, internet stalk them, and POOF instant recipe for love! Next day, he accepts the friend request. I wait a week, then message him this cheesy joke and ask if he's got church recs for cs since he'd told me he had visited several. I throw in a casual, 'hey we should grab lunch if you've got time next week!' before signing my name. He responds by sending me his schedule for the week, going along with the joke, and giving me his phone number. Good sign right? FALSE. He canceled one hour before we were supposed to meet Wednesday, and when I texted him to ask when he wanted to meet Thursday, he canceled again. He said he'd 'let me know about next week'. Righto. I'm not a dumbass. My life has been full of crap like that.

That's it for now. Told ya I'm a rambler.
